Houston, TX – October 18, 2018 – The senior vice president of North American shale service provider Tally Energy Services has gained recognition for outstanding leadership in the Houston Business Journal’s 2018 ‘Women Who Mean Business’ Awards. Stephanie Hertzog was named as an ‘Outstanding Leader in Energy’.

Now in its third year, the Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Award recognizes the city’s most successful female business leaders in for-profit and nonprofit industries. Judges select, and review nominees based on career achievements, contribution to the company and city success, community commitment, and leadership. A full list of honorees can be found at this link.

Tally Energy Services is a private equity-backed oilfield services company with a buy and build strategy in specialized North American shale products and services. Since launching its operations in Houston, Texas last year, Tally has made five acquisitions bringing its employee count from 11 to 170. With sponsorship from RedBird Capital Partners and Sallyport Investments, Tally Energy Services raised $130MM+ of capital commitments with additional equity available for substantially larger acquisitions.  Tally is principally focused on drilling services, completion equipment, and artificial lift.

In a career spanning more than 20 years, Hertzog has garnered an impressive track record. From being responsible for an $800MM annual revenue fabricated product business to now building a new suite of services under the Tally umbrella, Hertzog’s expertise around operations, strategy, sales, and marketing is being utilized to build a company that will help operators make better wells, faster.

Hertzog’s accomplishments extend beyond the office. She is actively involved with both of her alma maters as she served on the Alumni Board Executive Committee for Harvard Business School, Chaired the Texas A&M Chemical Engineering Advisory Council, and is a member of the Texas A&M Engineering Honors Steering Committee. Locally, in Houston, she has served as Board Chair for the Education Foundation of Harris County and past President and current Board Member of the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Houston.  She is also a mentor through the EMERGE program.

“It is exciting that the Houston Business Journal is celebrating women’s contributions to the city of Houston,” said Hertzog. “There are so many strong female leaders in Houston, and I am humbled to be recognized among them.”

All of the honorees across the nine categories will be recognized in a special section of HBJ’s Oct. 19 weekly edition and at an awards reception on Oct. 18.
