Cysts of the liver, bile ducts or pancreas (congenital, inflammatory, parasitic, cystic tumors) Inflammation/ Infections of the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas or intestine (Liver abscess, cholangitis, infected pancreatic necrosis/pancreatic abscess, chronic pancreatitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohns disease) Benign Tumors or Malignant Cancers affecting any of the above system.

Liver Transplantation India has undergone a tremendous change since the start of the first program at Apollo Chennai. Over 850 liver transplants and they have grown to become the 4th largest liver transplant program and the largest deceased donor liver transplant program in India. Starting with 2 surgeons they now are a team of 4 senior transplant surgeons apart from a team of over 20 surgeons, anesthesiologists, and hepatologists. DR. ANAND RAMAMURTHY

Dr. Anand Ramamurthy is Senior Consultant Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplantation at The Centre for Liver Disease and Transplantation at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Madurai. He is an Adjunct Professor (AHERF) and Academic Coordinator of the DNB program in Surgical Gastroenterology.

He is based at Apollo Hospital in Chennai. He performs liver transplants across Apollo Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mysore, Madurai, Visakhapatnam, Kolkata, Coimbatore, and Pune. He consults in clinics at Apollo Madurai and Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Myanmar.

Apart from Apollo hospital at Greams lane, Chennai Dr. Anand Ramamurthy also visits other regional, national and international centres for clinics. He is currently available for consultation at Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and East Africa, Nairobi (Kenya), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Kampala (Uganda).
