NEW GLOBAL NONPROFIT LOOKS FORWARD TO PROMOTING PEACE, UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE THROUGH THE POWER OF EMPATHY

Norway – January 21, 2019 – A global nonprofit has been recently launched and registered in Norway with the mission to promote the power of empathy as a means to change the negative dynamics that currently prevail in social media, news coverage, satellite TV and internet messaging agents.

As explained by Founder Lars Davidsen, “The age of technology has brought all of us much more closely in touch with global events and current trends than in years past. From natural disasters and war and terror to hatred and harassment, we are inundated with images, information, and language that often seem to disproportionally dwell on sensationalism, hostility, divisiveness and negativity. With the launch of The Empathy Club, we feel that we have an opportunity to use technology in a more constructive way by fostering empathy, objectivity, and thoughtful dialogue.”

The Empathy Club is a member-supported online, interactive platform that uses the power of the internet to foster better communication and positive messaging. Its aim is to highlight the fact that the vast majority of people worldwide are decent and live by basic moral values, and despite our differences, we have the capacity to empathize with each other and provide mutual support.

Davidson hopes that a groundswell of decency will begin to change the way that the media and other sources disseminate information and that the emergence of empathetic communication and behavior will shape the future in a more positive way.

Becoming involved in The Empathy Club is simple. Constituents can join at no cost in order to read and share the site’s content, or they can become a Premium Member for 3 USD weekly and receive added benefits. The organization also accepts donations to help with operational expenses, and a significant percentage of all revenue is spent for charitable purposes.
