SoftConseil Inc. Equips Reseau de transport de Longueuil With New Automated Call System For Its Paratransit Network

SoftConseil Inc., the premiere telecommunications company based in Montreal, is pleased to announce today that it has provided the Réseau de transport de Longueuil’s (RTL) with CONTACT+, a new automated call system for its paratransit network offered through SoftConseil Inc.’s MyOwn Telco telecommunications platform. The first phase of the new system rollout has gone into effect as of December 12th, 2018.

As part of the first phase of the CONTACT+ system’s implementation, the system makes automated calls to confirm users’ reservations on the evening prior to their trip. In the event any unforeseen changes are made to their itinerary, users further receive another automated call on the same day of their trip.

The implementation of the CONTACT+ will serve as a reassurance measure that will allow users to stay knowledgeable about the status of their reservations, as well as to be timely informed about any predicaments which lead to alterations being made to their trip schedule.  

This advanced telecommunication solution will help RTL improve its user experience and satisfaction rates, while it will overall allow the company to streamline its operations through the use of a fully-automated call service operating round-the-clock.

Speaking of the recent agreement between the two companies, Mr. Joel Kepaou, SoftConseil Inc.’s media representative, said that “CONTACT+ promises to facilitate travel for the millions of Canadian’s who use RTL’s services on an annual basis. The second phase of the CONTACT+ system, which is set to be added in the coming months, will involve automated calls announcing RTL vehicles’ imminent arrival. These calls will allow users to make timely arrangements for their arrival at the station, as well as minimize the hassle of waiting for their vehicle in harsh Canadian winter conditions, should there be any sort of delays.
